Wilton House welcomes disabled visitors and those with special needs. The following
summary gives general details of what is available to help you enjoy the House and

- An induction loop system in the film theatre for those people with hearing aids
- Visual display outside film theatre counts down to indicate when the film is due
to begin

- Certain items in the collection may be handled by visitors with visual impairment
- Special toilet facilities including a unisex disabled toilet in the Old Riding School
- All public areas are fully accessible to people with mobility problems via lifts
in the Old Riding School and an easy access route around the House.

- We welcome visitors with mental impairment either individually or as a pre-booked
group with appropriate adult companions. Our Education co-ordinator is happy to advise
on how best such groups can enjoy their visit to Wilton House.
- All of our tearoom staff are fully trained in providing for the more common dietary
requirements. Gluten free alternatives to bread and cakes are available.
Staff are
happy to advise on suitable dishes for those with gluten intolerance or diabetes.
Please note that although the House and grounds are fully wheelchair accessible,
the route does incorporate some ramps and gravel paths. We would advise wheelchair
users to bring a companion on their visit.
