The HHA is an an association representing the interests of Britain’s historic houses, castles and gardens which are still in private hands. Wilton House extends free entry to HHA Friends. For further details click here.

Royal Horticultural Society
Wilton House offers free access to RHS Individual Members (and the main card holder of Joint or Family/Explorer membership) to the Grounds throughout the open period (except regular access to the adventure playground). Old Riding School

Entry to the Old Riding School and Exhibitions is free to all visitors when open

We suggest that you allow at least 1 hour to visit the House and an additional 30 minutes to view the exhibitions.

During most days access to the House is on a free flow basis. Guides are positioned in the main state rooms and are always happy to answer questions. Room notes are available and a guide book is on sale in the shop.

On quieter days, entry to the House is by guided visit. Wilton House guides conduct tours of the main state rooms, leaving visitors to explore the remainder of the House on a free flow basis. Guided visits last approximately 40 minutes and start every 30 minutes from 11.30am. Places can be booked on a first come first served basis on arrival at admissions.

Please note:

Assistance dogs are permitted, otherwise no dogs are allowed in the House and Grounds
In the interests of public safety, no rollerblading, skateboards, bicycles, scooters, heelys or barbeques are permitted in the Grounds
UNDER 16s MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT AT ALL TIMES AND WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ACCESS ON THEIR OWN
